For parents: is a visa needed?
According to GOV.UK, Israel is not on the visitor visa list. It is on the list of countries that need an electronic travel authorisation, the ETA. Short study of up to 6 months is allowed on it.
- It costs £20 per person, and every traveller needs one, babies and children included.
- It lasts 2 years or until the passport expires, whichever is sooner, for as many trips as you like.
- The decision usually comes by email within a day, but can take up to 3 working days. Apply well before you book flights.
- You can apply for your child online. You need a photo of the passport and a photo of the child's face.
For parents: what we have not checked
The permit does not guarantee entry; the border officer decides. We have not checked the rules for a teenager travelling alone (airline rules, a parent consent letter) or for a second nationality. Ask the airline and the camp, and try the GOV.UK tool with the real passport before you book. Rules change.
For students: how to choose a camp
These are examples from the camps' own pages (summer 2027), not a list of partners. Prices are in pounds per week by our sum (price ÷ weeks) unless stated.
- Sherborne International: ages 8–17, £1,700 to £1,900 a week, English from beginner to advanced, and its page names halal food.
- Summer Boarding Courses: ages 8–17, two-week programmes at about £3,600 to £6,300 with boarding (£1,800 to £3,150 a week), and its page names halal.
- Concord College: from age 11 (13 for Humanities), about £1,750 to £2,185 a week, special diets with advance notice, halal not named.
- Oxford Scholastica: ages 11–18, about £3,500 to £4,000 a week, minimum English C1 (about IELTS 6.5), halal not named.
- Reach Cambridge: ages 14–18, about £3,200 to £3,330 a week; it names halal but does not promise it.
- Immerse Education: ages 13–18, names halal, but the price is not published on the pages we read.
For parents: before you book
At some camps the home page and the price table disagree, and some have not published 2027 prices yet. Confirm price and dates with the camp itself. Prices usually leave out flights and pocket money, and some leave out lunch. Ask directly about halal food, even where the page names it.
We found no page that speaks about students from Israel or about Arab students specifically, so ask the camp about night supervision, staff ratio and minimum age before you pay.
What we do not promise
We promise no place at any camp and no entry to the UK. We are not an official agent of any camp today, and we do not describe any camp as our partner. We help you compare and understand the rules.
